5000 years into the future, the world is a wreck, with no history of planet earth, and believing the earth to be a fairly new planet, a large part of the population is feral and cannibalistic. To soothe the bloodlust of the feral, every year, a select number of people are locked in a mansion block and forced to murder one another. (They are only allowed to kill at certain times, other than the times that they are allowed to kill, it is basically reality TV) Sometimes they put two family members in together, lock them in the same room and force one to kill the other. They call it deadwood. It all makes for good entertainment for the world, as the event is televised across all nations. But most of the people in the mansion aren’t killers, many are mere children, some fighting for their lives, others terrified and hiding as the ones they love die around them. Let the games begin.
